Red Currant Jam

This jam is my favourite - tastes yummy and really easy to make. I use this recipe by Mango & Tomato .

First weekend of August

Image
This weekend we went for a bicycle ride to Bronte Creek near Toronto. We rode through the woods and along corn fields. There is also a small Victorian style farm at this park with cows, horses and pigs. Really cute! I went there couple of years ago in fall , it was really beautiful. I should go back this year too.

what i do at work

I was gonna post these a while ago but never had a chance to. I love photography but my day job is actually in graphic design. This is an RFP that we did for a client this past winter and I really enjoyed working on it. It's just a concept magazine but I really had a lot of fun styling and taking the cover shots and laying it out. The interior photos I picked from Getty Images. I wish I could do things like this more often.

A quick hello

Hello friends! I haven't had time to take too many photos this week. Just wanted to share this shot of berries with you. I hope you are enjoying your summer!

summer baking

I made a blueberry meringue pie the other day. I am always having trouble with whipping the meringue but this time it worked out from the second try. The pie turned out surprisingly very good! I had to take a snap of the last piece before it was all gone. I should make some more on a weekend. . . . some great posts around the web: + I love these wedding dresses! + Lovely outdoor garden party + Trend forecast by trends guru Li Edelkoort

Crepes a Go Go

Image
One of the best crepes places in Toronto is Crepes a Gogo . When we went there last time for Ashish's Birthday the place was jam packed! But the crepes were really good. I also liked their hot lemonade with honey and ginger.

belated birthday - early christmas surprise :)

Image
Yesterday I had a lovely surprise in a mail. My friends Alla and Nastya from Kiev sent me a present, two beautiful books that I wanted to get for a while - afternoon tea parties and the sartorialist's new book . This book is by Susannah Blake, it's about different styles of tea parties: Japanese, French, English, Russian, Maroccan, you name it. The styling is so beautiful and it also has many nice recipes which I will be trying out soon! Thank you girls so much! I miss you! XO
