Easter Weekend

Eggs This weekend was Orthodox Easter and we had a little celebration. It was just Anton and I by ourselves here in Canada for a very long time and I missed my parents a lot. But they are currently staying with us and I am enjoying these moments of being together as a big family. Easter Bread My mom made the traditional Easter bread with raisins and icing, just like grandma used to make. Easter Bread We also were in Burlington this weekend and Sofia saw the cherry blossoms for the first time. I took some photos and will put them together in a separate post. Easter Bread We had lunch at Pane Fresco, I ordered my favourite goat cheese salad with roasted veggies. Yum! IMG_0140_sm Goat cheese salad Their cannoli are the best. Cannoli On Sunday we went to Russian church in Toronto. IMG_0179_sm People gathered in the basement for the food blessing ceremony. So fascinating to see the Romanov dynasty portraits on the walls. I guess there is an old Russian diaspora over here. IMG_0175_sm Love the candles. IMG_0189_sm Sofia, my mom and I. Me with Sofia and my mom Magnolia I hope you had a lovely weekend too!

  2. Даже не знаю, что меня удивило сильнее - Романовы в церкви или такие красивые пасхальные яйца в Канаде :) Непросто, наверное, было найти краски.
