Bougainvillea

Bougainvillea
I love this plant and how beautiful it looks climbing up the walls and wrapping up archways. If I lived somewhere warm I'd love to have one near my house or on my balcony.

Can you spot a hibiscus flower on the first shot? I just did. Didn't see it when I was taking a picture. LOL

  1. That hibiscus is similar in color to the bougainvillea, now I see it :) I remember my great-grandmother and how she used to sew lush lei's of bougainvillea that grew in her yard. They grow in so many colors. Love your photos of them, especially the bottom photo with the petals in the water. Brings back memories. xo

  2. Oh my, I had a few moments before I could see the hibiscus... it is amazing how the colour is so similar! It was like looking for a smll treasure! :) Beautiful colours, anyway! This flower is very common during spring & summer in lisbon! ;) Hugs, Twiggs

  3. Hi Elena, I've just stumbled across your blog. It is one of the loveliest I've seen in ages - your photography is amazing, and you have such a great eye for colour! I'm so impressed, it's such a rare treat to find a site as beautiful as this, so thank you.

I love bougainvillea, it's one of the things I love about living in such a hot climate, we can neglect it here, and it just flourishes.
